Recognizing the pressing need for comprehensive healthcare in Odisha, Supreme Task General Hospital and Netraniketan Eye Care Centre, founded in 2006, stands as a beacon of hope and dedicated service, with a steadfast commitment to improve the health and well-being of the vulnerable and deprived population in India. Nestled in the heart of Bolangir District, we have been working tirelessly to build, improve, and sustain healthcare delivery for the communities we serve. Our eye care centers are determined to provide quality eye care services that are efficient and sustainable and are equipped with the latest surgical instruments from the US to deliver sight-saving treatment and surgery. Our health care providers are experienced and distinguished individuals with vast knowledge in their respective fields and updated with the latest researched practices to provide personal attention and care to the patients.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

Provide affordable and accessible eye care services:

To ensure that eye care services are available and affordable to all sections of society, regardless of their socio-economic status. This includes screening, diagnostics, and surgical interventions.

Eliminate preventable and treatable blindness:

We strive to reduce the prevalence of preventable and treatable blindness by offering comprehensive eye care services, including cataract surgeries and treatment for other ocular conditions.

Improve overall healthcare delivery:

To improve the overall healthcare delivery system in Bolangir district. This includes providing general medical services, obstetrics/gynecology, surgery, pediatrics, and emergency care.

Conduct community outreach and education:

The project recognizes the importance of community engagement and education in promoting health awareness and preventive practices. Through outreach programs, the hospital seeks to educate the local population about eye health, general healthcare, and the importance of seeking timely medical attention.

Collaborate with government initiatives:

The project actively works in collaboration with government initiatives and programs aimed at improving healthcare in the region. This includes being registered under schemes like Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojna (BSKY) and District Blindness Control Society (DBCS) to provide universal health coverage and specialized eye care services. By addressing the healthcare needs of the marginalized and deprived communities in Balangir district, Supreme Task General Hospital & Netraniketan Eye Care Centre aims to make health a reality and promote healing and wellness for people of all ages in a compassionate and loving environment consistent with Christian principles.

Ophthalmology Department

Supreme Task General Hospital stands as a beacon of exceptional healthcare, dedicated to serving the community with a team of highly skilled and experienced doctors. Our hospital prides itself on maintaining state-of-the-art equipment to provide the best possible care to our patients.

Our hospital is furnished with well experienced doctors and nurses, who ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of care. We are also updated with the latest eyecare technology such as phacoemulsification machine, ENT operating microscope, a slit lamp for detailed eye examinations, keratometer, refractometer and much more for deliver top-notch care.

Community Health

STI Hospital is dedicated to community outreach and educating people about health and wellness. We collaborate with the village panchayats to do door to door surveys to analyze pressing health related needs, and conduct eye screenings in villages, raising awareness about eye care and providing free eye screenings. On detection of a problem, we educate individuals, schedule surgeries, and offer pick-up and drop-off services. We also collaborate with Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers, equipping them with medical knowledge to connect those in need with our services.

Outpatient Department

STI Hospital operates daily Outpatient Departments (OPDs) where we offer basic checkups and consultations on hygiene, eye care, and general health. Our team provides valuable guidance, to direct our consultee with any health issue they may face, and promote overall well-being in the community.



Visionary Transformations


1. Paitana’s Journey from Darkness to Light

Paitana Nag, a 14-year-old, suffered from cataracts in his right eye since childhood. Financial constraints delayed treatment, causing gradual vision loss. However, STGH & Netraniketan's eye screening camp provided hope. They performed a successful surgery during a free camp, miraculously restoring Paitana's vision. Overjoyed and grateful, he and his parents thanked God and the hospital team. This transformed Paitana's once dark future into a brimming world of hope and possibilities.

2. Shakuntala's Gift of Sight and Hope

Shakuntala Jued, lived in darkness for a year due to cataracts, unable to work or perform simple tasks. However, a glimmer of hope emerged when she learned about an eye check-up camp by Supreme Task General Hospital. Swiftly identifying the cataracts, the hospital's team performed a successful surgery, restoring Shakuntala's vision. Overwhelmed with joy, she pledged to spread the word about the hospital's remarkable services.
